Open play is a terrible place to learn.
That is not a criticism of open play. It is just not built to teach you anything. Nobody there is watching your split-step.
Prime Pickle Ballers started because too many adults pick up a paddle, fall for the game, and then plateau in month three with nobody to tell them why.
What we do differently
Eight players. Not twenty, not twelve. Eight is the number where a coach can still watch every rep you hit and say something specific about your game instead of running the same speech for the room.
Four hours is long enough to fix something and short enough that you leave wanting more. And every player gets a written plan the week after camp, because what you learn on Saturday evaporates by Wednesday unless someone writes it down.
Who this is for
Most of our players are 40 and up, and a lot of them are nervous about looking new. That is the group we are best with. You will not be the only beginner in the room, because everyone in the room is one.
Our coaches
Every coach we work with is certified and teaches adult beginners as their actual job, not as a favour between tournament weekends. We are picky about this, which is why we sometimes announce a camp before we announce its coach.
