Meet your coaches: Tom Miller and Chrissy Galati.

Coach Tom Miller
Tom Miller is a PPR Certified coach who carries a 5.0 DUPR, and coaching is genuinely his craft. He runs individual and small-group instruction for a national fitness chain and leads player development for a 1,300-home 55-plus community in Broomfield, coaching everyone from first-timers to the 4.0-plus crowd. Before pickleball he spent a lifetime teaching adults, from corporate product and sales training to lead instructor for high-performance track-day racing, riding shotgun with students at speed.
That background is exactly why he is so good at this. Tom finds creative, genuinely fun ways to connect with each student and fix the one thing holding them back. "I get a lot of joy helping my students improve and succeed," he says, "especially now, bringing my passion for teaching to pickleball players." Whether you just want to enjoy the game more or you're chasing the next level, Tom meets you where you are.

Coach Chrissy Galati
Chrissy Galati is a PPR Certified Instructor and the pickleball lead for a national fitness chain in Westminster, Colorado, where she runs tournaments, leagues, and both group and individual training. She is exceptional at teaching the real foundations: where to move when you don't have the ball, smart shot selection, and owning the kitchen line. She has a proven record of lifting her students to higher levels, and of making them fall in love with the game along the way.
Tom and Chrissy coach together all the time, with matching styles and the kind of energy students rave about. With two certified pros and just sixteen players, you're split into two small groups by level — roughly DUPR 2.0 to 3.5 — so newer players build real fundamentals and the ones already rallying sharpen the shots and strategy that break a plateau. Nobody gets lost, and nobody gets bored.
How they coach
Meet you where you are
Brand new or already rallying, Tom and Chrissy read your game first and coach the player in front of them, not a script.
One fix at a time
Ten corrections overwhelm anyone. You get the one that moves your game most today, then the next one.
Fun is the fast lane
People learn fastest when they're enjoying it. Expect real reps, real games, and a group you'll want to keep playing with.
Come in brand new. Here's what usually happens by the last hour:
- Newer players: serves, returns and dinks that finally hold up in a real game
- Developing players: a sharper third shot, cleaner resets, and smarter shot selection
- You stop guessing where to stand and start moving like a team
- You leave with a written plan and a group that keeps playing together

Here is your whole Saturday.
No mystery about what you're paying for. This is the run of play, block by block.
- 12:00Warmup, then split by level
Meet the group, an easy warmup, first rallies while Tom and Chrissy read your game, then we split into two small groups — roughly 2.0 to 3.5 — so you're always working at your speed.
- 12:20Serve, return and the start of the point
Newer group: deep, repeatable serves and returns that just go in. The stronger group: placement, spin and targeting the return that sets up your whole point.
- 12:50The third shot
The newer group learns the drop that gets you up to the net. The stronger group drills drop versus drive and reading which one the moment calls for.
- 1:20Dinking and the kitchen
Where points are really won. Control and patience for newer players; moving your opponent and finding the attack for the group that's already rallying.
- 1:50Break
Water, a seat, and the part where the group chat gets made.
- 2:00Volleys and hands at the net
Clean put-aways, soft resets, and the fast hands exchanges — dialed to each group's level.
- 2:30Resets, speedups and strategy
Taking pace off the ball, when to speed it up, and the positioning and patterns that quietly win games.
- 3:00Move like a team
Getting to the kitchen together, covering the middle, and stopping the collisions that cost you points.
- 3:20Real games, coaches courtside
Live points with Tom and Chrissy calling what to adjust, rep by rep, in real time.
- 3:50Your path forward
A recap of what you improved today, and exactly what to work on next week.

You stop saying maybe next time.
The paddle is the excuse. What actually changes is that you walk onto a court full of strangers knowing you belong there.
You spend the day with seven people in exactly your spot, learning the same things at the same speed. Nobody is waiting on you and nobody is showing off. By the afternoon you're laughing between points with people whose names you didn't know that morning.
Most groups swap numbers before they leave. That's how one Saturday turns into a standing thing you look forward to all week.

Questions people ask before Denver.
I'm still pretty new. Will I be lost?
Not at all. With two coaches and sixteen players, we split into two small groups by level — roughly DUPR 2.0 to 3.5 — so newer players start with the fundamentals and never get left behind. You'll be playing real points by the end of the afternoon.
I already rally and play. Is this too basic for me?
No. The stronger group drills the third shot, resets, speedups and strategy that actually move you toward 3.5 and beyond. You're grouped with players right at your level, with a coach whose whole job is finding what's capping your game.
What's the venue actually like?
Mile Hi City Pickleball, 3700 Havana St, Ste 305, Denver, CO 80239, indoor courts. One location, everything you need already there. Map and details are further down this page.
With 16 players, do I actually get watched?
Yes. Two certified coaches means eight players each, so every rep gets seen. A week after camp you get a written plan built on your game, not a generic recap.
Can I bring a partner or spouse?
Absolutely — it's a great way to do it. Register separately, note each other's names, and we'll keep you together for the drills and games.
What should I bring?
Your own paddle, court shoes, water, and something you can move in. Balls are provided, loaner paddles available if you flag it at signup.
Something comes up and I can't make it?
